At the annual Witch’s Brew Banquet on October 24, 2024, the Cambridge Area Chamber of Commerce celebrated the remarkable achievements of local women with the BREW Awards—Boldly Recognizing Exceptional Women. Held at the Pritchard Laughlin Civic Center, this event honors women who have emerged as influential leaders in business and community service across Guernsey County. Since 2017, the awards have showcased their exceptional dedication, impact, and commitment to making a difference in the community.

Kellie Brown’s remarkable 32-year career in public service, primarily with the Guernsey County Board of Developmental Disabilities, has led to her well-deserved recognition as the 2024 Jo Sexton Business Leader BREW award recipient. Known for her dedication, innovation, and commitment to excellence, Kellie has devoted her career to improving the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities. Her leadership extends beyond her role, as demonstrated by her active participation in various committees and organizations focused on community development. A key contributor to revising the Ohio Administrative Code, she also served as Vice-President of the Superintendent’s Executive Committee from 2014 to 2017. In addition to her professional accomplishments, Kellie gives generously of her time, volunteering on the Family and Children First Council board and serving as a founding member of the Guernsey County Children’s Advocacy Center. Kellie is a true embodiment of exceptional service, with a legacy of commitment that resonates in both her professional and personal life. Kellie was nominated by Haley Brown.

Deb Brown, the 2024 BREW Award for Service recipient, is celebrated for her unwavering commitment to the community. Known for her compassion and dedication, Deb is a fixture at local events, providing support, ideas, and encouragement to all. She has devoted countless hours to organizations like the Cambridge Area Chamber of Commerce, Rotary Club of Cambridge, and more, helping them thrive and connecting people throughout the community. As Director of Public Relations and Community Engagement at Cedar Ridge Behavioral Health Solutions, she tirelessly promotes the organization’s services, improving lives across the region. Alongside her career, she manages a farm, caring for her rescue horse, Buddy. Nominated by Rory Stelzer, Deb is deeply respected and admired for her selflessness and service.

At just 35, Tia Theodosopoulos has made a significant impact on Guernsey County through her professional and personal dedication to community service. As owner of Nurture Preschool and Childcare in Byesville, Tia has created a safe, educational space for young children, and her success has led to expansion and new jobs in the area. Her greatest accomplishment, The Lotus House, provides a supportive home for young women aging out of foster care, empowering them as they transition to independence. Together with her husband, Jalil, Tia also runs Revive Real Estate, revitalizing properties across the county. Nominated by Justin Brown, Tia is the 2024 BREW Award recipient for Emerging Leader.
