BREW stands for Boldy Recognizing Exceptional Women and the Cambridge Area Chamber of Commerce
has been recognizing the work of exceptional women of Guernsey County yearly since 2017.
On October 26, 2023, at the annual Witch’s BREW Banquet, 3 women will be awarded for their work in
our community.
Since 2019, CACC has awarded a $500 scholarship to a non-traditional female college student. This year
the Chamber and the BREW committee changed the criteria for applications. This year, thanks to the
BREW scholarship college fund and the generous donation from AMG-Vanadium, the Chamber will
award 4 scholarships to 4 local women that are currently attending college or plan to attend in the fall of
2024. They will be presented with their scholarship award at the BREW Banquet on October 26.
The criteria to be met to qualify, is to live or work in Guernsey County, to have completed high school or
currently enrolled in high school, and to be enrolled or enrolling in the 2023 – 2024 academic year.

College. In addition to her studies, she is participating in the McDonough Leadership Program and a
member of the Marietta College Volleyball team. Kendyl is a 2023 graduate of Meadowbrook High
School. Kendyl was fortunate to have the opportunity to job shadow with a local dentist office and she
immediately fell in love with the thought of making such a significant impact in the lives of others by
helping and creating beautiful smiles.

Zanesville in the fall of 2024 with her focus of study being Early Childhood and Elementary Education.
Grace has danced at Techniques Dance Studio for 15 years and has also been a teacher’s assistant at the

hopes to influence students to become successful people and successful leaders.
Karly Launder is currently a senior at Meadowbrook High School with plans to attend Marietta College in
the fall of 2024. Karly has been active in activities in school such as Student Council, National Honor
Society, a member of the Colts volleyball team, the Colts Blood Drive fundraising committee, and 2022-
23 representative for Youth Leadership Guernsey. Karly’s focus of study is Primary Education, her plan is
to be a first-grade teacher at a local school after graduating from college.
