After many long and deliberate discussions with our board of directors this week, we have made the decision to cancel the Cambridge Area Chamber of Commerce Home, Garden, and Business Expo this coming weekend. We have considered Governor DeWine’s recommendations which we understand may become policy as soon as tomorrow. We’ve also received guidance from our local health officials in making this decision. The Chamber of Commerce, in addition to enhancing economic growth, embraces, protects and promotes our exceptional quality of life. We take that responsibility very seriously and feel that the gathering of exhibitors and the public at the Expo could potentially jeopardize the health of our community with the coronavirus in Ohio.
Exhibitors may either receive a full refund or consider this year’s booth rental as payment for the 2021 Home, Garden, and Business Expo.
We realize that some of the exhibitors have made great investments in preparation for the Expo. We hope that by protecting their safety, the safety of their employees, and the safety of our community will lessen the negative impact of this pandemic in our area.
