The Cambridge Area Chamber of Commerce board of directors is pleased to announce that Ashley Umstott has been named as the Chamber president to succeed current president, Jo Sexton.
For the past three years, Ashley has been serving and promoting businesses in the Zanesville-Muskingum County community. Her focus has been on business networking, marketing, and sales.
A graduate of John Glenn High School, Ashley earned her undergraduate degree from Ohio University and her graduate degree from California Coast University in Business Marketing.
Guernsey County is home to Umstott. Her family has deep business roots in Cambridge, and she understands and values what a small business brings to the community.
Joel Losego, chairman of the chamber board said, “Ashley’s background is impressive. Her appreciation for the business community, coupled with her knowledge of economic growth, small business marketing, and her strong roots in the community, make her a perfect fit for the role as Chamber president. We’re excited to welcome her into the Cambridge Area Chamber of Commerce!”
“I am very excited for this opportunity to serve the businesses and community as the President of the Cambridge Area Chamber of Commerce. I am thrilled to be joining a strong team and sharing the solid foundation that has been established, which includes a vision to continue the organization’s growth. I am looking forward to the opportunity to give back to the community that has provided a lifetime of support for me” says Umstott.
Ashley will begin employment with the Chamber on September 9, working beside Jo Sexton until Jo’s retirement at the end of October.
